Local government can arrange cultural events regularly near or inside the historical places including museums. Governments with enough budgets can even make documentaries or films related with local history and culture. By doing so, the missing or forgotten part of local history will be refreshed and enriched. As a result, locals will develop interests in local museums and historical sites and visit these places more often. Also, it is preferable and feasible to carry out free admission policy one day in a week so that locals feel more privileged and motivated to enter these places.

In conclusion, historical sites including museums mostly attract tourists to discover local history and culture. In order to ignite the locals’ interest and pull in more local people, cultural events and free-admission policy can be arranged.
